Safety is much more than a set of procedures or a regulatory requirement. It is an integral part of how we work, make decisions, and carry out our daily responsibilities. Guided by this approach, Electra held its annual Safety Week between June 14 and June 17, with the goal of strengthening the organization's safety culture, raising awareness, and reinforcing the shared responsibility of protecting human life.

The initiative was led by Yossi Kastel, Chief Engineer at Ariel Properties, based on the belief that safety begins with people, through awareness, personal responsibility, and the commitment to make the right decisions even during routine daily activities.

Safety Begins with People

The week opened with a special message distributed to employees, introducing the program and its key themes. In his remarks, Kastel emphasized that safety procedures are built on years of professional experience, accumulated knowledge, and lessons learned in the field, all with one clear objective: protecting lives and preventing accidents.

According to Kastel: "Safety begins with each and every one of us: through the small decisions we make, our daily conduct, and our willingness to stop when necessary." Throughout the week, employees participated in professional sessions covering a wide range of topics, including office ergonomics, road safety, safe work practices in the field, and safety at home. The message was clear: safety does not end at the office or the job site. It accompanies us wherever we are.

Throughout the week, division managers and the organization's safety team were available to answer employees' questions, reinforce safety awareness, and strengthen the shared sense of responsibility.

Alongside the training activities, professional safety tours were conducted with the guidance of the Safety Officer from Ofer Safety. The tours focused on reviewing the implementation of safety procedures, identifying potential risks, and reinforcing professional safety practices with on-site teams.

One of the highlights of the week was the safety tour held at Electra Tower. During the visit, participants reviewed the findings of the latest site safety survey, examined key operational areas, and discussed opportunities to further strengthen and improve the site's safety management.

The tour included reviews of rope access cleaning operations, parking areas, and the pump room, all areas where strict adherence to safety procedures is an essential part of day-to-day operations.

The tour was attended by Yossi Kastel, Chief Engineer, Eitan Shmuel Yoed, Operations Manager, Lior Ben-Haim, Site Manager, Kobi Julio, Maintenance Manager, and Amos Daboosh, Safety Officer, Ofer Safety.

A Culture of Learning and Responsibility

One of the central messages throughout Safety Week was the importance of immediately reporting safety incidents, including near-miss events. Timely reporting enables rapid response, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of work processes, helping prevent similar incidents in the future.

The week also reinforced the importance of continuous learning as a cornerstone of a strong safety culture. Sharing knowledge, learning from experience, and continuously improving work practices strengthen collective responsibility and contribute to creating a safer working environment for everyone.

Although Safety Week has come to an end, its message continues to guide daily operations throughout the year. Through professional guidance, the implementation of advanced standards, and continuous on-site activity, Ariel Properties continues to strengthen the safety culture across the properties it manages. This approach, which combines responsibility, continuous improvement, and a commitment to excellence, is an integral part of professional property management and of creating a safe environment for employees, clients, and visitors alike.
